Effective 26 August 2026
Kesheva is published by Truth Field Projection Pty Ltd. Kesheva has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, or app-owned server. The publisher does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal information from the app for advertising or profiling.
Location and settings
If you grant location permission, Kesheva uses the device's current coordinates to calculate zmanim on the device. Coordinates and saved places remain in the app's local storage and are not sent to Kesheva or an app-owned service. You may instead enter a place manually. You can revoke location access in system Settings and remove local data by deleting the app.
Calculation choices, observance mode, notification preferences, cached Torah text, and Live Activity intent are stored locally on the device.
Daily Torah from Sefaria
When Kesheva refreshes Daily Torah, it connects directly to Sefaria. The request includes the requested civil date, timezone identifier, and selected Diaspora or Israel reading cycle. It does not include saved coordinates or the saved place name. Like any internet request, Sefaria receives ordinary network information such as an IP address. Sefaria handles that request under its privacy policy.
The most recent successful reading is cached on the device for offline use. Kesheva provides a manual link that opens Sefaria for further reading.
Notifications, Live Activities, and links
Shabbat, Yom Tov, and fast reminders are calculated and scheduled locally after you opt in. You can disable them in Kesheva or system Settings. Live Activities are managed by Apple system services and can be stopped in Kesheva.
Links to Sefaria, Chabad, EJL, Kesheva's website, and future charity pages open external websites with their own privacy practices. Kesheva does not receive a record of which external link you open.
Apple may process App Store, TestFlight, crash, or diagnostic information under Apple's policies and your device settings. This information is not sent to a Kesheva-owned analytics service.
Retention and deletion
Kesheva retains app settings and the last successful Torah reading only on the device. Deleting the app removes this local data. Because Kesheva operates no user account or app-owned data service, there is no server-side Kesheva profile to request or delete.
Changes and contact
If Kesheva's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed feature is released. Questions can be directed through the Kesheva support page.
